Kids `R` Kids Olathe has teamed with local education and activities experts to make the finest extra-curricular learning activities available to our students.
- Steps to the Stage -- Darlene Piane began dancing at the age of four and teaching at 14. For more than 20 years she has trained students in tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop and musical theater. She has choreographed such classics shows as Mame, Fidler on the Roof, Gypsie and Godspell among others. Now she share her talents with students at Kids `R` Kids Olathe. - McCracken`s Gymnastics and Swim School - With more than 30 years experience, the McCracken`s team creates a warm and friendly environment for children to develop physically, mentally and socially. McCracken`s 17,500 square foot, world-class facility helps children develop self-confidence and gross motor skills. During the summer, McCracken`s picks up children at Kids `R` Kids Olathe and transports them to the gym. Parents are encouraged to observe and participate. - CompuChild - Computers are part of our evey day life. Kids `R` Kids Olathe has computer centers in every room, and CompuChild teaches children the basic skills to master common applications. Entrepreneur Magazine named CompuChild the #1 Children`s Enrichment Program. Classes are divided into age groups and each class has a maximum of five children. Check the Parents Information Center at the front desk for sign up info.
- Olathe Karate Academy -- Martial arts are designed to improve a child`s listening skills, teach self-confidence and develop self-discipline. Children 3 years old through school-age may enroll. Classes are taught weekly in the KRK gym. Stop by to watch a class at KRK Olathe, or at the school`s dojo at Ridgeview and 151st St.
- Happy Feet -- Whether you call it European Football or soccer, children love it. Happy Feet instructors not only teach basic soccer skills, but help children improve their health and fitness through physical activities.
